MAA CHOOSES SIEMENS LED

Maastricht/Aachen Airport has given instructions to Siemens Airfields to supply the latest technology in the area of airfield ground lighting. This unique energy-saving form of runway-lighting allows pilots to have a good view of the runway from a distance in the dark, and the visual indications are much clearer. LED lighting lasts 100 times longer than conventional halogen lighting, requires less maintenance and provides optimal runway availability, which is of great importance for a busy airport. The LED lighting also saves up to 60% in energy terms. Maastricht Aachen Airport is the first in The Netherlands to use LED lighting.
