The Aerospace Newsletter from the Walloon region includes notes on a presentation of Walloon Aerospace at the Farnborough Air Show in 2008. It also refers to an economic mission to the Pacific Northwest (Seattle, Wa. and Vancouver, BC) March 9-14, 2008, accompanied by Belgium’s Prince Philippe. There is a B to B focus on this mission and they will of course be visiting Boeing. The letter also mentions a call for projects under Europe’s FP7 program and an investment by Sonaca of USD 17m in Quebec which will allow Sonaca to make wing panels for Bombardier’s Challenger aircraft. The Liège digital simulation company GDTech in Liège has also received EN 9100 aerospace quality certification. Check the newsletter for details.
