MECOM TAKEOVER OKAY

NMA, the Dutch competition watchdog, has okayed the proposed acquisition of the Dutch Wegener publishers by the Mecom Group, which already owns Media Group Limburg. Mecom will divest the majority of its door-to-door papers published by the De Trompetter subsidiary, which safeguards competition on the local and regional advertising market in the southern Netherlands, in the view of the NMA.
