GASTRONOMY WEEK

The catering fairs BBB and the European Fine Food Fair and PUUR, the gastronomy fair, will take place in Gastronomy Week — Monday, January 21 through Sunday, January 27, 2008. This 54th edition of the catering fair, the oldest in The Netherlands, will be in the MECC and there will be a number of traditional breweries present from at home and abroad and a number of specialist events. There will also be innovation and a hospitality and inspiration platform, with competitions and conferences.

The 14th European Fine Food Fair is also present at the MECC and this will have a focus on hospitality. New products will play a role and there will be cooking, where experts exchange information. More attention this year will go to the waiting profession; and for the seventh time, the Euro-Toques will award their prize for the best Dutch Euro-Toques restaurant. A number of chefs will give master classes with a focus on wine, where all 61 Grand Crus Classés from Bordeaux from 1983 will be tasted.
