FLANDERS DRIVE: EUR 28M

The Flemish Minister of Economy and Innovation Fientje Moerman (Open Vld) [who has since resigned. ED] has made an award of EUR 28.8m for Flanders’ DRIVE II, an innovation program for the Flemish automotive industry. The program is intended to raise the competitive level of Flemish companies in the world market. Sixty-five researchers will be involved in this program. The minister introduced the plan during the celebration of the Flanders DRIVE sixth anniversary. With its staff of 160, it’s developed into the innovation platform for the automotive industry in Flanders.
