UNILOGIC IT IN EDUCATION

[BIZ/EDU: Sittard, October 2]
Clients of Unilogic BV are largely school boards in the east and southern Netherlands. After a test rollout in 2001, with a contract for the computerization of schools in the Limburg INNOVO foundation, there was an expansion of staff and materials in 2003, which required considerable investment. Fortunately LIOF was able to take a 30% stake. Unilogic has, in the meantime, got 550 schools from Heerlen to Hengelo computerized and on its books, using the TOP-ITC concept. This means that these institutions have a system for interactive learning, up-to-date software and a digital learning environment. They have educational programs, people guidance and administration and the instructor required is available. The interest is not limited to the east of the country any more. This has to do with the new development, TOP-ITC2, which focuses on the fiber-optic network and it is the largest project of its type in The Netherlands. It not only links with the Internet but also with telephony.
