MICHAEL HELLMUND SPHINX BOSS

As of October 1, Michael Hellmund (47), a German lawyer, became the Senior Vice President for central Europe with Sanitec, the company that owns Sphinx. His area is the Benelux countries, Austria, Germany and Switzerland, and the Sphinx and Keramag brands. Sanitec is one of the largest manufacturers of sanitary equipment in Europe. Following major changes at Sphinx in recent years, things have quietened down; the production process at the new plant is on schedule and a major restructuring of the internal organization has been carried out. Management is now also being cut back, which was facilitated by Rob van Brug at Sphinx. Now he’s handing on his job to Michael Hellmund, who will be looking after business in the six countries concerned and regional sales and marketing can be strengthened in both markets.
