FOREIGN COS OUT OF ENERGIENED

The Dutch subsidiaries of the power companies Electrabel, E.on, Oxxio and RWE have left the Dutch branch association EnergieNed. They have in fact set up their own organization for Marketing Energy (VME). The four thought that there was a conflict of interest in the areas of network management and marketing. EnergieNed was surprised at the result in June; as it had already announced that there would be a separate association as of October 1 for network managers and energy produces to meet the criticism of the companies who have now set-up the VME. Within EnergieNed there had been dissatisfaction for some time. Despite the establishment of the VME, the planned change in structure at EnergieNed will be still take place.
