TESSENDERLO 75% GROWTH

The Tessenderlo Chemicals Group is expecting a growth of profit of 75% this year. The business stated this on the occasion of the presentation of its Q2, 2007 figures, earlier Tessenderlo Chemicals had pointed to a growth of 50%. Now account has been taken of an annual profit of EUR 126m during the second quarter. A business profit of EUR 42m was achieved although the company had put forward a figure of EUR 35m for the first quarter. According to Tessenderlo, the raw material prices are rising rapidly but that could be passed on to customers without too many problems, because business is good. Revenues rose by 12.4% to EUR 262.2m.
