AEROSPACE IN AACHEN

A long-term agreement between the largest German producer of aircraft engines MTU Aero Engines from Munich and Aachen’s RWTH University has been signed. The President of the University, Professor Burkhard Rauhut and Dr Rainer Martens have signed an agreement to establish a competence center for aircraft engines. In the context of this strategic partnership, there will be ongoing research and development for the next generation of jet engines against the background of increased business in civil aviation — the partners see a need for this type of development in a range of areas.

An integrated style of construction will improve safety, efficiency, lower weight and emissions and, of course, lower costs for servicing.
