MAJOR SOLAR INITIATIVE

A plan is afoot in the Aachen region to put solar panels on as many roofs as possible, to save the environment and money. The environment expert, Uwe Zink, from the region has investigated which of the district’s own buildings will be eligible and it looks as if the economic basis will be feasible. This is part of a plan to reduce the CO2 emissions in the district by 20% through 2011.
