ANNUAL REPORT LIEGE AIRPORT

[BIZ/LOG: Liège, July 28]
The Liège Airport’s annual report gives extensive financial and other information in French and English. It notes that 2006 has featured growth in all its activities and a move back into profit. At 406,000 tons, Liège Airport is the ninth largest European cargo airport; growth was 24% up from 327,000 tons in 2005. Growth was mainly due to additional destinations and activities of airlines based at Liège airport (including TNT, Cargo Airlines, Kalitta, El Al and IcelandAir). The attractive new passenger terminal also drew business. Passenger figures are at a record, with 311,000 passengers transiting via Liège. This is a 28% rise over 2005. The airport has set itself a goal of 600,000 passengers by 2010.

Furthermore, the balance sheet bottom line for 2006 is EUR 53.857 million compared with EUR 28.748 million in 2005, an increase of EUR 25.109 million. 2006 has seen spectacular recovery in terms of revenues and shows an increase of 21.1% (+ EUR 2.229 million) over the 2005 activity.

Ongoing work in 2006 included: the extension to the fuel facility, increasing it from the current one million liter storage capacity to six million liters; development of the apron in the north zone, where work is in progress to create space for ten aircraft; the construction of a hotel by the GL property group and work to extend the TNT hub, based on a phased investment program for an overall figure of EUR 95 million.
