CE MARKING
[BIZ: Aachen, July 18] This is a part of the harmonization of the free movement of goods within the European market. There is to be an informative session on it which will deal with the reasons for its introduction: what the directives apply to specific products and how they are to be applied; conformity and producers declarations, the directives that apply to particular machines; the requirement for technical documentation, hazard analysis, instruction documentation and practical experience. There will be a session on this in Aachen on August 22 from 14:00 to 17:00hrs at the IHK/Chamber of Commerce; but also in Bonn on August 21 at the IHK and in Cologne on August 23 also at the IHK. CE Marking is a declaration by the manufacturer that a product meets all the appropriate provisions of the relevant legislation implementing certain European directives. It gives companies easier access to the European market for their projects without adaptation or rechecking. Manufacturers and importers of machinery installations, electronic equipment, toys, construction products and lots of other products are required to use this marking in the EU.
