DIEPENBEEK SCIENCE PARK

The science park on the University of Hasselt’s campus is going to expand. The municipality of Diepenbeek has given the green light for an expansion project. Two new locations for Sci-Tech business will be set-up. The municipality is focusing on the transport infrastructure. The costs are estimated at around EUR 2m of which the Flanders region will take the lion’s share. Work is to begin in October. The science park was set up 18 years ago and there are now 15 technology-based businesses located there.
