VEBEGO DOES WELL
[BIZ: Voerendaal, June 6] Revenues rose by EUR 33m in 2006 and the company is looking back on a good year. With growing pressure on the labor market, Vebego is focusing on a targeted and flexible organization of straightforward work with creative and innovative solutions. Vebego is linking into labor migration, labor participation of the elderly and handicapped; and, the ongoing outsourcing of business processes and also of new forms of cooperation with customers. Their activities in the healthcare system are part of this new development. Additional investment in HR and facility services will make then stronger and they began this investment program in 2006. The takeover of Management 2000, the specialist HR operation in Germany, linked them into an important growth market. Hands to Work, EMC Doctors and Nurses, Toolbox 55 and IBN-Facilitair are part of this program. Despite the investment, solvency ratio at 20.8% remained within the Vebego bandwidth target of 20-25%. Financial fixed assets grew on the basis of investment and joint ventures.
Vebego a service organization, which focuses on cleaning, facility services and HR services, was founded in 1943 and has developed into a multinational employing 31,000 in 20 separate businesses in cross-border Europe. In 2006 revenues grew by 5.7% to EUR 614m and the pre-tax profits to EUR 21.4m, an improvement of 6.7% on 2005. Chairman of the Board Ronald Goedmakers said: ‘In the last ten years revenues have risen sharply both internationally on the basis of takeovers and autonomously as a result of the expansion of our activities. The results for 2006 were inline with our expectations.’
