Parkstad Limburg and the Aachen city region (agglomeration) are going to expand their strategic alliance by implementing added value cross-border projects to make this synergy clear. Carl Meulenbergh of the Aachen region, Toine Gresel, the Chairman of Parkstad Limburg, and René Seijben, the Director of Avantis are presenting the prospects for this strategic alliance and under the heading of ‘Energy at the Borders’ they will, with other partners from Meuse-Rhine, be making a joint presentation at the Dutch real estate fair PROVADA in the RAI in Amsterdam from June 11 through 13.

On this occasion they will sign a Declaration of Intent between Parkstad Limburg and the Aachen urban agglomeration in which they will detail the cross-border cooperation. This will include: labor market flexibility; electrification of the last 7km on the Amsterdam-Eindhoven-Aachen rail route (Prorail) to link in High Speed Trains; a delegation to meet Minister Eurlings in Amsterdam and cooperation on infrastructures, education and new energy.
