MITHRA REVENUES UP 30%

Mithra Pharmaceuticals is a Liège-based company specializing in women’s health products. Laurence Briquet writes in La Meuse that the company is experiencing major growth and has seen its revenues grow by 30% over 2 years. It has new products and markets and is thinking of a new production facility in Liège. Their product focus is on contraceptives fertility, the menopause, osteoporosis, also feminine hygiene and certain varieties of cancer affecting women. They have eleven medical representatives and they work with 1,200 gynaecologists. They now employ 27 as opposed to 21 in 2005 and achieved the results of EUR 7.25 million in 2006, which represents a growth of 30% on 2005. The company is a leader in the contraceptive market in Belgium. 85% of its market is currently in Belgium and Luxemburg, with 15% abroad - elsewhere in the EU but also in China and South Korea.
