LAND PRICE LOWER IN HEINSBERG

The number of construction land sales and the average price per square meter have dropped in the past year as against 2005 in Heinsberg. This was noted by the State Authority for Data Processing and Statistics (LDS). The land area sold, however, increased slightly. For 2006, the LDS noted 227 sales as against 285 in 2005 (down 20.4%). 206,050m2 were up for sale as against 199,881 in 2005 (up 3.1%) and EUR 78.08 per square meter. In 2005 the price was EUR 94.39, this is a drop of 17.3%.

In 2006 in North-Rhine Westphalia, a total of 2,909 sales were completed, with a total surface area of 2.7 million square meters and a total value of EUR 281m. The LDS noted that this produces an average price of EUR 103.50 per square meter. In comparison with 2005, the number of sales went down by 24.7% and the area dropped by 19.2%, the total sale value by 14.3%. The average sales value per square meter was EUR 5.90, 6% higher than in 2005.
