The real estate monitor reveals the potential of Parkstad. The Foundation for Real Estate Monitoring in Limburg has collected information on real estate in Parkstad. This provides statistical and qualitative information of housing, business property, offices and shops in Parkstad in 2006 to show what the potential of the area is. The information will be presented on May 23 during the symposium at the Parkstad Theatre in Heerlen.

The North-Western European market is accessible from Parkstad and there are a number of ambitious projects there including the Care Valley for Parkstad including Atrium, Sevagram and Mondriaan, and the cross-border science and business park, Avantis. There is the renovation of the center of Heerlen and the extension of IKEA as the largest branch in Western Europe. Also, the new building for CBS, the statistical bureau, and the renovation of the ABP are projects of considerable importance.
