LIMBURG (B) INDUSTRY UP 12%
[BIZ: Hasselt, April 16] In Hasselt, 18 buildings were sold, primarily in the services sector. In Genk sold 15 buildings and Lommel 11. Growth was primarily in assembly and logistics. The popularity of tri-modal transport (rail, road and water) is increasing Limburg’s popularity.
The sale of industrial buildings in Limburg (B) went up by 12% last year. Two hundred and ten buildings were involved. This is revealed by federal government figures. Foreign companies were the most interested in these industrial locations on the Limburg real estate market; led by the British, Germans and Dutch with businesses in Limburg, but there has recently been interest from Spain, Italy and Taiwan.
