The company running The Bazaar, TCN Property Projects Charlemagne, and Heerlen have set the opening date for The Bazaar shopping center at August 1 this year. Forty businesses have signed a rental contract for a unit in The Bazaar, currently the administrative trajectory prior to starting up business is on-going. The Bazaar will be very special in Heerlen and the whole Euroregion, with products ranging from jewels and clothing to herbs and spices and world-music, and there is going to be interesting food — Thai, Indonesian, Surinamese and health food. There is room for 60-70 businesses in The Bazaar and the units are from 12m2.
