CADAC TAKES OVER NEDGRAPHICS

The IT specialists Cadac from Heerlen are taking over NedGraphics CAD/GIS BV from Vianen. This is going to give birth to a leading business in Europe in the area of computer-assisted drafting (CAD) and geographical information systems. The new company employs more than 200 and will produce revenues this year of EUR 23m. The NedGraphics works’ council is positive about the merger. The merger will have no negative effects for Cadac or NedGraphics. Jan Baggen of the Cadac Group says: ‘Our activities complement one another.’

Cadac has built up a major group of customers in the Benelux over a period of 20 years and its 135 consultants develop and supply Cadac software for businesses in construction, engineering and for a wide range of industrial clients. Cadac is a valued partner for Microsoft, for whom various applications have been developed.

NedGraphics is the market leader in The Netherlands in the area of digital maps for local government. They provide digital software that can make maps, store them centrally and publish then on the Internet, with everything above the ground and below it. You can include buildings, roads, green facilities, pipeline systems and virtual geometry.
