GEUSSELT PARK

Construction has started on the first part in the Geusselt Park. This green belt, surrounding Maastricht’s MVV football stadium, is going to be transformed into a place to live, work and play, and form a bridge between Maastricht and the Hill Country (Heuvelland). BPF and Maastricht are going to provide apartments, a swimming pool, skating facilities, walks, cycling tracks, a sports hall, restaurant facilities, offices and a great deal more. The Geusselt Park will be twice a big as it is now with twice as much water. This is to be a green bridge between the urbanized northeast part of Maastricht, Meerssen and the Heuvelland, where families, the elderly and the young can live in a pleasant setting. The MD Anne Bodzinga wants to turn the castle into a restaurant with outdoor facilities.
