EUREGIONALE NEWS
[BIZ/GOV: Aachen, April 4] The demise of the Bauhaus Europa project meant that a number of other projects came into being: the European City Circuit, the development an English language educational project from primary school through to high school graduation, education facilities, education camps developed with the university for the sciences, a European Parliament of Sciences and a textile museum. Aachen wants to use this range of activities to satisfy the Euroregionale authorities and play a leading role in regional development and internationally based projects. Together, more than 40 future projects are being supported in Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands, which provide economical, regional and cultural development in the Tri-country region. The Green Metropolis project will also link Belgian Limburg, Dutch Limburg and as far as Düren in Germany.
Top magazine ‘Aachen Euregio’ reports that, in the context of the Euregionale 2008, a great many innovative projects have been undertaken and a great deal of cross-border cooperation has been generated and networks formed for the development of sustainable structural developments.
