SCANIA EXPANDS IN LIMBURG

Scania the Swedish truck manufacturer has decided to centralize its European parts distribution in Belgium. This expansion program will represent an investment of EUR 12m. The new Scania Parts Logistics hub will be fully operational at end April '07 and will then employ 375 full-timers. The surface area of the EDC will double to 64.500 mē, 60.600 mē of which will be for storage. From May 1, they will be able to handle 25.000 orders per day. Parts will go from Scania Parts Logistics in Opglabbeek to 900 customers in 75 countries worldwide.
