STRONG LIEGE COMPANIES

In 2006, six companies from Liège made it into the Top 15 Big Business rankings in Belgium, as revealed by the magazine Trends-Tendances. These companies, known as Gazelles, are Tailored Blank Liège, which manufactures welded blanks for the automotive industry, which came in 4th; SITA Wallonie, which specializes in waste management, at 9th place; the air carrier TNT Airways, in 10th position; the steel specialist Mosacier, in 11th place; SPGE, which is active in the water sector, 12th; and Trendy Foods Belgium, a wholesale producer of grocery and tobacco products made it to.
