The automobile service provider Saxid GmbH & Co KG is going to set up a production plant for brake linings and expects to have created 25 new jobs by the end of 2009. The decision to establish the plant in North-Rhine Westphalia came after a great deal of consideration, where locations in Eastern Germany and Eastern Europe were also examined to determine whether it would be better from a competitive or cost point of view. The company was advised by NRW’s Economic Development company and it was decided that the benefits of the location at the Oberbruch Business Park, with its synergy affects, made it the best place to set up. The location is 2,200m2 and EUR 4.4m will be invested in the production facility, which will produce up to four million brake linings per year.
