HEIDELBERG POWER IN LIEGE

Heidelberg Cement plans to invest EUR 50m in the Liège region. The cement manufacturer wants to set up a waste processing plant which will also generate green power. Twenty-five percent of the company’s costs are for electric power and the contracts with the suppliers have to be negotiated this year. The platform would be on the banks of the Meuse and would provide the production plants at Lixhe and Antoing with power.
