KPN TO BUY GETRONICS

Getronics, the IT service provider, is being readied for sale to the Dutch telco KPN, according to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. Getronics has appointed the financial director Maarten Henderson to sell the company, according to the paper, which bases its story on information from Getronics. Henderson is an old CFO at KPN. KPN boss, Ad Scheepbouwer, said earlier that his business might be interested in a slimmed-down Getronics. According to insiders, KPN is interested in a slimmed-down Getronics, with activities restricted to the Benelux. This means that the other European and American activities would first have to be sold.
