KING TRANSPORT : CHINESE FRUIT
[BIZ: Liège, November 17] The Chinese province of Shan-hsi wants to export fruit (apples, strawberries, berries, kiwis and fruit pulp to make fruit juice) to Europe. The Chinese fruit would be 40% cheaper than fruit produced in the Hesbaye. (Source: vrtnieuws.net)
King Transport, a logistical operation with branches in Hoeselt and at Liège Airport, is negotiating with a number of Chinese companies on a contract for the distribution of Chinese fruit in Europe. The fruit would arrive via Liège Airport and the Port of Antwerp. And according to sales manager Robert Jacobs, this would provide several dozen new jobs.
