LIMBURG LOGISTICS IN LIEGE

[BIZ/LOG: Liège, October 13]
The Limburg European Logistics Center visited the Port of Liège to give themselves an update on this key logistical facility. The Port gave an overview of the logistical strength of the area, which not only includes the port itself, which is very attractive to investors, but also Liège Airport and the Transport and Logistics Cluster. The SPI+ Liège Development company was also involved.

After the presentation by the Port, there was a focus on the new multi-modal platform of Liège’s Trilogiport, and an overview was given of the sector in the province. The visit continued onboard ship, the ‘Pays de Liège’, where the visitors were briefed by Etienne Baugnée (Magemon, Group CTB) for the South of the Isle of Monsin, Jeffrey Piarrat (SOMEF, Group Arcelor) for the covered wet dock, and Nicolas Limbioul (ECT, Group Portier) for the Renory container terminal.

Uniting the useful and agreeable, Dutch business chiefs were able to make the acquaintance of the dynamic new logistics center in Meuse-Rhine. All looked forward to a fruitful cooperation and a future that will bring lots of investors to the city.
