DEXIA SELLING ARTESIA NL

Dexia is selling its Artesia Nederland Bank to GE Commercial Finance, the financial arm of the American General Electric conglomerate. The companies have announced the takeover. The Artesia bank provides credit to large- and medium-sized companies and is also concerned with fund management.

Artesia has EUR 4.7bn in property and last year made a profit of EUR 28.7m. It employs 300. General Electric is also active on the property front in Europe.
