Floriade, the flower show organized once a decade in the Netherlands, is one of the biggest agricultural events in the world and has been officially styled a world agricultural event. The next one is in 2012 and the managing director Paul M.R. Beck and financial director Bert Stek have been joined by a new project director, Sven Stimac from Lentföhrden in Germany who has 16 years experience in project management and consultancy. Among other events he is involved in are the World Fair in Shanghai for 2010 and the Horticulture Show in Schleswig Holstein for 2008.

The new director of marketing and communication is Erna van den Ven from Molenhoek. Mrs van den Ven was director of the Tourist Authority for the Nijmegen area and responsible for policy, marketing, promotion and fundraising. She also organized the Nijmegen four-day marches, one of the largest outdoor events in The Netherlands, and has had a number of government and executive positions.
