PUNCH TO GO TO NANKING

The Punch technology group is planning to build a factory for automatic transmissions in China. The company is building on the technology of the ZF transmissions company in St. Trond. This company was taken over this year by Punch. Punch boss Guido Dumarey says that the plant in Nanking will be ready in mid-2008. Nanking is also the headquarters of the Chinese automotive manufacturer of the same name and the objective is to cooperate with Chinese automotive companies.
