ADAMS DRUMS WIN AWARD

The Adams drum factory, Adams Paukenfabriek BV, has won the Limburg Export Award. This family company from Ittervoort puts Noteborn from Wittem and Rena from Maasbre in second and third place behind it. Noteborn produces sliding doors and Rena is a non-ferrous aluminum molding operation.

Adams produces musical instruments, in particular drums and symbols. It had revenues of EUR 11m in 2005, 98% of which came from abroad. Adams exports to the entire European Union and 42 other countries. It employs 55. The prize was accepted by its surprised and proud MD, Frans Swinkels, during a meeting at the Océ plant in Venlo where the L1 TV program ‘Zaken in Zicht’ (Business Views) is recorded. The program was broadcast in early October.

The Limburg Export Award is an initiative of the Export Sociëteit Limburg and is supported in the province by Syntens, the Limburg Employers Association (LWV), MKB (SME) Limburg and the Hogeschool Zuyd. It’s also sponsored by the Rabobank, the Limburg development company LIOF, Baat Consultants, Lage Landen, the Chamber of Commerce for South Limburg and the Province of Limburg.
