MAN WANTS SCANIA

German truck makers MAN have confirmed their interest in the take over of their Swedish competitor Scania and a EUR 9bn+ price has been mentioned. As a result of which Scanias shares rocketed earlier this week. Observers say that the possible take over makes sense. In Belgium MAN employs 86 whereas Scania employs more than 760 this is because of the presence of the Scania distribution centre in Opglabbeek, Limburg, which is responsible for parts distribution throughout Europe.‘
