TRIANEL LUENEN PLANT
[BIZ/INFRA: Aachen/Lünen, February 18] Following an assessment of other locations. On Thursday, February 9 Lünen in North-Rhine Westphalia was selected for the first plant. Lünen has all the necessary assets, including the ability to build a 750MW plant, to be ready at the end of 2012.
After the first plant in Hamm-Uentrop, 26 city power plants and regional providers have charged Trianel, the Meuse-Rhine Energy Trader, with developing the framework for development of a new coal-based power plant project. The company is looking into a feasibility study and all the technical permits and economic aspects.
