ELECTRABEL TO AUCTION SITES

Electrabel is going to auction off its unused production sites to the competition, as agreed between Suez, the parent company, and the government. The auction is planned for April and will involve the capacity of 1500MW. Two difficult problems exist: can the competition use the capacity built up or the capacity options at the site and who’s going to pay for the clean up?
