HEERLEN TURNS Q-PARK DOWN

Heerlen City Council has decided not to accept the offer made by Q-Park, the Maastricht-based European parking giant, to take over its parking garages and the shares in Parkeer Heerlen BV. The council found Q-Park’s bid to low and they were unsure as to what effect the sale could bring with it.

Although cooperation with Q-Park will not be extended this time, Q-Park remains the owner and manager of a number of parking garages in Heerlen and in Parkeer Heerlen BV, an important partner for the City. Q-Park has indicated that it is prepared to work with Heerlen in the future to develop a good parking climate.
