MAASTRICHT CULINAIRE

Maastricht Culinaire is an association of Maastricht’s top restaurants and on January 30 it was joined by the Michelin-star restaurant Tout à Fait and Maastricht’s celebrated Italian restaurant Ca'del Biro. At a reception at Tout à Fait guests were treated to splendid oysters and champagne and other delicacies, while Jan Willem Bertens, the well-known Maastricht Europarliamentarian and former ambassador, recalled some history of the area and culinary opportunities and opportunities of other sorts dating from the 18th century in the Hell’s Gate area of the city where Tout à Fait is to be found.

Mayor Leers also spoke to the group who were able to celebrate a city where there are no fewer than five Michelin starred restaurants. The event was presided over by Guidy Wolfs of ‘t Pakhoes.
