WINDMILL PARK SOLD

[BIZ/INFRA: Kerkrade, January 18]
The opportunity to invest in the windmill park in the De Locht in Kerkrade has been a great success. Six hundred shares have been sold, largely to private investors in the region, and this means that the investors will be co-owners of the park for ten years. This means that they will be in charge of sustainable energy production. A number of the investors have also chosen ‘green power’ from their own windmill park and they will receive a reduction for this electricity.

The park has two turbines with a capacity of 5MW and provides power for 3,000 houses. It will be completed in July. The De Locht windmill park will be run by a company set up by Evelop.
