EUPEN CABLE TAKES ON STAFF

In 2004 East Belgium’s most important private employer, the Eupen Cable Works, was in the black again after three bad years. The positive trend has continued in 2005 and the company is now able to take on more staff. The company currently employs just over 900 and made EUR 200,000 last year on revenues of EUR 215m. Business is picking up but the increase in the price of copper is something of a burden.
