MITHRA PILL FOR CHINA

Mithra, a five-year-old, Liège-based biotech company that specializes in gynecological product areas, covering contraception and fertility, the menopause, and osteoporosis, women’s personal hygiene and female-specific cancers, is to export its Daphne contraceptive pill to China. They have a EUR 300,000 order for over one million pills, in the first instance. This represents 48,000 boxes each with 21 tablets. China has a potential market of 250 million women for these products and the company has already been selling its contraceptives in South Korea. Now the time would seem to be ripe for the Chinese market.
