ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN LIEGE

[BIZ: Liège, December 23]
Laurent Minguet, founder of Liège's EVS Server company, who is investing EUR 7m in the renovation of the Hôtel de la Couronne is also setting up a number of other energy efficient housing projects in Liège. A pilot project in the rue Xhovémont in Liège involves 80 energy saving units of 80m2 with heating costs of less than EUR 300 annually. This will be a low-rise project and also create park facilities. Offices and housing will also be built with 15,000 m2 of office space as a façade, combined with housing units at the back. This will be on the Cuivre et Zinc (copper and zinc) site not far from Belle-Île.

There will also be a major construction project of 250 to 300 houses at Glain-Burenville and finally there will be a U-shaped apartment building with 33 energy-efficient units on the rue Leenders.
