Q-PARK IN BELFAST
[BIZ: Maastricht, December 23] The company sees the future of the region developing positively and wishes to grow both in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. “It fits in well with our strategy for growth,’ said Mr. Vleugels.
Q-Park, the Maastricht-based European parking giant, is to start running 8,000 parking spaces at Belfast International Airport in Northern Ireland from January 1. Mr. Ward Vleugels, the chairman of the board, said that the company’s position at the Belfast International Airport was a logical consequence of an earlier investment in the center of Belfast with the acquisition of Victoria Square, which opens in February 2008.
