AMB MUTUAL FUND RANGE

[BIZ: Aachen/Cologne, December 16]
AMB Generali Asset Managers, the fund company and asset manager of the AMB Generali Group, is extending its fund range from the current 15 to 22 mutual funds. With the beginning of the coming year seven funds of Generali Asset Managers Sicav (GAMS), Luxembourg, will be included in distribution in Germany.

The funds are, on the one hand, four theme funds – GAMS Global Multi Utilities, GAMS Global Life Science, GAMS Global Life Style and GAMS Global New Technologies. They invest in international equities in the trades of utilities and energy, pharmaceuticals/biotechnology, consumption and new technologies. The mega trends at which they are oriented give reason to expect a sustainable performance over a longer period of time. Three other funds with a focus on Central and Eastern European shares and bonds as well as Euro zone corporate bonds complete the range of funds: GAMS Central and Eastern European Equities, GAMS Central and Eastern European Bonds and GAMS Euro Corporate Bonds.

The seven mutual funds are partial funds of Generali Asset Managers Sicav, the international fund platform of the Generali Group founded in Luxembourg in the spring of 2002. The Sicav is currently composed of a total of 34 partial funds managing fund assets of more then EUR 3.5 bn at the moment. The funds are managed in the three competence centres of Generali Asset Management located in Trieste, Paris and Cologne.

"Since they were issued between April 2002 and October 2003, the funds have mainly experienced an above-average development. With regard to performance, the funds GAMS Multi Utilities and GAMS Central and Eastern European Equities did particularly well. Within one year they reached a plus of 31.4 and 50.8 percent respectively (as at November 30, 2005)", said Heinz Gawlak, Chief Executive Officer.

With a view to the further expansion of the distribution of mutual funds the focus will first lie on the four theme funds managed in Cologne. "After the excellent positioning of our fund-of-funds family AM Generali Komfort, we now concentrate on medium to long-term mega trends in order to gain independent sales partners and also banks for our theme funds", commented Heinz-Peter Clodius, managing director in charge of marketing and sales.

The issue premium for the five equity funds is five percent each, for the two bond funds it is three percent. All seven partial funds are offered for the distribution of mutual funds under asset class D, with the income being reinvested.
