BBB CATERING TRADES FAIR

The BBB catering trades event, the oldest in The Netherlands, is full of interesting new things - including the second HotelloTOP for Dutch Hotel School graduates and others on January 25. It will run from January 23 through 26 in the MECC in Maastricht. The European Fine Food Fair will also be held on the first three days.

The BBB is one place where the smaller breweries in Belgium, Germany, and The Netherlands get together and reveal their products. There is a concentration on local products. There will also be cooking competitions and a wide range of activities.

At the European Fine Food Fair there will be various innovations on the international and regional front, Fred Dijssellbloem will be installed as the chairman of Eurotoques Europe, a new trade magazine called ‘Pâtisserie & Desserts’ for patisseries in The Netherlands and Flanders will be introduced by the publisher Norbert Koreman, and there will be discussion of various products by experts.

The ISPC, the gourmet wholesaler in Liège, will be celebrating its 40th anniversary with a reception for Michelin starred chefs in the Euroregion — incidentally, there are five of them in Maastricht and four of the starred restaurants are within walking distance of one another.
