GEUSSELT CONSTRUCTION PLANS

Maastricht’s gateway, formed by the Geusselt Stadium and the Chamber of Commerce building, is to receive a major facelift. The plans, designed by the Amsterdam bureau Bentvelsen Fleermet, include 400 rental apartments, offices, and recreational facilities, including a swimming pool, sports hall, shops, and other leisure facilities.

The project is expecting a subsidy from The Hague, which has been requested by CDA (Christian Democrats) parliament members G. van Rens and J. Thans, and should come from the budget for investment in spatial quality (BIRK). They’re waiting for the answer.
