600 JOBS AT FORD GENK
[BIZ: Genk, December 7] The greater part of temporary workers have already been taken on and they will also be in service in 2007 and for a good part in 2008. This also has to do with the production of the new Ford Mondeo in 2007. Ford Genk starts with the production of the SAV and the Galaxy in March.
Management at Ford Genk will be recruiting an extra 600 temporary staff during the months of January/February 2006, with a view to the production of three new models at Genk. A few months ago 280 were taken into service for this purpose, and the production of the new models will require extra employment of a total 900.
