EUR 150M FOR VERVIERS
[BIZ: Verviers, December 7] The project in Verviers is part of a global plan for the renewal of shopping centers in Charleroi, Mons and Courtai. The total investment will be some EUR 800m. The project is scheduled for the rue du Spintay.
Dutch project developer Foruminvest is to invest EUR 150m in the renovation of the commercial center at Verviers. The idea is to get consumers to stay in Verviers, whereas they now go to Liège, Aachen, or Maastricht to do their shopping. There are three aspects to the project. The first is the construction of a 95-outlet shopping center, then there will be an underground parking garage for 1,000 cars and 24 apartments.
